Temple Street Hospital

Refurbishment of existing hospital ward. This project comprised of the strip out, demolitions, alterations and fit out of and existing ward to provide a new 360m2, 20 bed ward for neonates and infants of less than six months old with 7 beds/cots designated high dependency. Complete refit of mechanical and electrical services including connecting back to existing systems with minimum of disruption.

High level of air tightness was required to achieve pressure differential between various rooms. Some of the projects features included seating that could be converted to beds for parents and automatic doors to all the ward rooms.

Work was carried out in a live hospital campus and the site access was from a shared A&E department route. Measures were taken to control aspergillus. This project was delivered with minimal disruption to hospital services.
